The Griffin Museum of Science and Industry and the new Obama Presidential Center (opened June 19, 2026) are actually about 5-7 miles south in Hyde Park / Jackson Park, and Brookfield Zoo Chicago is in suburban Brookfield about 13 miles west — all three are shown at the map edges for reference. All attractions verified open July 2026. Boat tours run seasonally (roughly spring through fall); Wendella departs from the Wrigley Building dock at the Michigan Ave bridge.
